BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (KTLA) -- Legendary actor Jackie Cooper died Tuesday at a hospital in Beverly Hills After a "short illness."

3. Cute kid, great actor
He did a Twilight Zone, playing an alcoholic ventriloquist. Eventually the dummy took over his life. Really creepy.

Anybody remember him in that show from the late 1950's "Hennessey"? Ran for one or two seasons, I think.

5. I remember Hennessey very well, one of my favorites.
The writing and acting, especially Cooper's, was well above average for the time. Probably why it didn't last.

Rest in peace Mr Cooper and thank you.

6. In the 50's he did a TV show "The People's Choice"
He ran for mayor in a Cali town against his girlfriends father and won. That's about all I remember about the series.

8. It had a great dog named Cleo, a basset hound.
It was one of the first TV series I remember. My family got a TV in 1954 or 1955, and I was allowed to watch that show. The dog's thoughts about his owner's dilemmas were show in the form of a narration by a female voice-over. It was cute.

4. In school during the 60's, when it was raining and we couldn't go outside for recess
they'd show movies and Our Gang was in the mix.
