My Nomination for The World's Biggest Idiot, Ever.

That really just sums it up for me. If a Republican 'demands credit' for George W. Bush, show them this.

Bush is one of two things now:

Either the world's biggest idiot, or criminally complicit in harboring Bin Laden. Those are the two options.

K&R if you dig it.

27. She was killed right near ISI Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
Animosity between the Bhutto family and the ISI have been ongoing for generations. I wouldn't be surprised if Junior signed off on it.

3. World's biggest idiot, for sure.
He's not competent enough to be complicit in anything. Look how fast the case for war in Iraq fell apart.

That said, we don't know if Musharraf had any idea that Bin Laden was where he was. Pakistani government is a lesson in factions. Certainly SOMEONE knew he was there, but who it was, and what position they were in, we don't know yet, at least not publicly.

10. Yours and everyone else's. I'm shocked. Dig it? Been there, got the T-shirt.
Can you say "low hanging fruit"?

How long will we as a group (DU) be obsessed with a loser like George W. Bush? He's SO 2008.

I'm with President Obama... let's look forward.

Lots of bandwidth wasted at DU on the loser of the new century. The amount of time I spend on W is the amount of time I spend reading about him here on DU. Not a minute more.

Its obvious. Why do you think he couldn't go to Ground Zero? He borrowed from the Bin Laden family for his failed businesses and protected them after 9/11.

34. Or responding to extortion by the Pakistanis.
Or somewhere in between.

It appears that they knew early on more or less where Bin Laden was. And they made us impoverish ourselves and our country on their sham search to find him and root out Al Qaeda.

If this isn't true, or if there is another explanation for the lies and efforts they made to hold us in fear of terrorists all these years when what was needed was a decisive police/small military unit action is unforgivable.

How many lies? How many lives?

I'm willing to listen to honest explanations and apologies.

47. The Bush mafia is in bed in a big way with Arab oil
and wealth.
It was Duhbya who let members of the bin Laden family fly out of the US when virtually all other non military flights were canceled after 911. (Maybe a little water boarding would have sped the capture of their kinsman by about 10 years.)
It was Duhbya as CIC who had our military fly Arabs out of Afghanistan over the border into Pakistan early in the invasion and occupation, without accounting for who exactly was being allowed to escape from one country into the other.
Presumably these were Pakistanis who were aiding the US. But who exactly did the list of evacuees include?

There is a strong probability that Bush allowed bin Laden to flee, in order for the Bush Mafia to remain on good terms with the wealthy and powerful of the Arab world.

It really is the only thing that makes sense after all the bluster he put out about capturing/killing him.
