the people want universal healthcare but we do not get it because our leaders do not have to do what we say. Our federal voting districts for the president and senators are TOO LARGE to allow unity among voters and therefore the people cannot unite with a common interest and thus elect and hold accountable those politicians.

You want democracy? Then be like every other western nation -- break up the federal union and install parliamentarian democracies in each state You will then have single payer very quickly.

I have long been an outspoken supporter of universal health care. My car's been egged,I've been called a communist more times than I can remember....even "jokingly" at work. 50% of my county has no insurance. I see them with their rotting limbs as they wait until the last minute to come to the ER for some semblance of healthcare.
It is a tragic thing that exists in this country.I hate suffering... but even moreso because this suffering could have been prevented.

Sicko is one that will rock your world. I recommend everyone watch it.

My best SWAG gives us about 3 generations before it all blows up. At most 5. We will take most major species with us when we go too. Will some of us humans survive? Sickening, but probably so. A very few of us possess the resources to survive almost anything, given a few years notice. Can they rebuild? I doubt it. Maybe.
