They look past the 244K new jobs last month and only focus on the unemployment rate.

7. You are right, as usual.
Deficit reduction efforts at this time will only compound our problem of unemployment. We know this. This is an easy to understand concept. Unfortunately the fact that we live in a consumer driven economy is almost entirely absent from the discussion.

Why are Democrats are being led around by the nose by Republicans on this issue? Why isn't the President being more forceful in asserting consumer demand is the key to turning around the economy?
