1. Cheney is a War criminal, human rights violator,
Evil beyond belief and I'm pretty sure he's a serial killer. If there was such thing as Karma, he would have been killed years and years ago.

2. Yes, they are. And what I find very interesting is that
the same criteria is, apparently, not applied to Obama.

If it had been Bush that had killed bin Laden, I get the feeling the mood on this board would be very different, re: the legal ramifications.

9. I get the feeling that if he had been captured people would be
upset because he wasn't killed. The mood of the board is never different, it's always which ever way Obama goes, some go the other way. Like clockwork.

3. Does any of that spill over into this administration since they've
continued some of the same policies as the Bush* cabal?

11. What would you call it when we imprison people that have been found innocent.
We keep them in prison forever because we think they may be too dangerous to release, even though we have no legal right to do so.. I think Obam is doing a better job than ANY Republican could possibly do but he is not perfect, and I think in the case of indeffinate confinement he is wrong. I also think he is wrong in continuong the occupation of Afghanistan. I think he aids and abets previous war criminals by not prosecuting as required by International Treaty.

19. If his policies mirror that of the Bush* administration, then yes. I
don't see how there could be a difference in how they are viewed.

21. If he doesn't prosecute war crimes, then he's a war criminal.

5. I think it does to a degree, some of the same policies
are still in place, the not looking back has harmed us.

14. The same ones we berated Bush for
the exact same ones.

Reverse the roles. If the Pakistani military had conducted an unannounced raid on US soil, do you think US response would be mere 'warning'?

22. I don't recall President Obama closing Gitmo, stopping rendition to
out of country prisons, two immoral wars, wiretaps, or many other provisions of the Patriot Act. When he does, let me know.

6. The facts as we know them indicate that she is correct
But expecting war criminals to prosecute war criminals will be every bit as successful as expecting violence to overcome violence, or hoping that darkness will be driven out by more darkness.

10. That is why it is so disheartening seeing them invited to speak on TV.
They should be shunned for their promotion of torture and wars of lies.

18. In light of recent events that sure is starting to ring hollow
Which of course is why a current administration has never prosecuted a previous one, they're all in it together.

And it makes no difference what I think is a war crime or who might be a war criminal, I'm not in charge.
