Was killing OBL less legal than our use of predator drones?
It seems like there is much more fussing going on about the OBL raid, when compared to our use of drones in the same country. Am I missing something? Is the use of drones permitted by the government of Pakistan?

1. Not permitted, no, but tolerated.

2. Our use of predator drones in Pakistan is about as legal as was
Nixon's secret bombing of Cambodia (0ne of the proposed articled of impeachment, btw).

I'd say it is as illegal as the extra-judicial execution of OBL.

I don't think 'legal' admits of degrees, btw. An action is not more or less "legal," just as an event is not more or less "unique."

3. Both can be justified.
But, hey, if Pakistan doesn't want us there, then we should get out -- and take out our dirty money, too.

But if U.S. forces are attacked, or the U.S. is, from Pakistani territory, then we would need to take appropriate actions in response.

Same for Iraq and Afghanistan -- the sooner we get troops out, the better.

5. China has invested heavily in Libya oil and in Pakistan....

They want to run a pipeline from the Port of Gwadar , across Pakistan and into China.

Pakistan has Nukes and China will back them up.

If Mr. Obama persists with his illegal drone strikes in Pakistan , we will be on the doorstep of WW-III.

And remember WE trained Afghanistan on how to Bankrupt the Russians.

Declare victory NOW and bring the troops home while we still have a chance.

6. There will be different scrutiny on Bin Laden than drone strikes
against people that no one has ever heard of.
