DETROIT (WJBK) - The report, based on the advanced clips, is a scathing indictment of the Detroit public school system. Veteran news anchor Dan Rather looks at the schools from the view of students, parents and administrators. Failures in standardized tests are given much play.

The report also looks at abandoned schools and costly real estate deals.

Board members in the report defend the performance of the schools.

Why not do something different and look at it from the teachers' points of view?
