Trump shows why he's a repuke: Doesn't know what the 13 stripes in the flag represent

Trump doesn’t know what the 13 stripes on the American flag stand for

Stephen Colbert highlighted a key “Difference Maker” last night on “The Colbert Report”: Donald Trump. Trump put up a 400 square foot flag atop a 70-foot pole on his golf course in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. In the clip, Trump highlights his indifference to city codes (the town only allows objects up to 16 feet tall without a permit) and love for his chosen sport of golf (“I love to hit balls!”).

The real money, however, comes at the end of the segment, when Trump admits, “I don’t know what the 13 stripes represent.”

Watch the clip below, which originally aired on Comedy Central May 10, 2011, and embedded here via Hulu.

BTW, I believe this is a typical question that immigrants are required to know if they want to become US Citizens.

2. Yes!
...the 13 original trust funds that he went through before he was 30, mind you. Fortunately there were a few more.

That was a long time ago, so I may be misremembering.

But unlike us immigrants, Trump became a citizen the easy way.
