we should be asking why the Senate Ethics Committee was able to find evidence for a possible prosecution of Ensign, but Eric Holder and the Federal Election Commission couldn't.

21. Senate Ethics committee wanted first shot at Ensign, Justice Dept took backseat till' ...
Ethics concluded its investigation. I heard something about Senate protocol and a sitting US Senator not being compelled to testify before a Grand Jury, which if true, may be another reason Justice took a backseat. Now, bring on that Grand Jury again, eh? :toast:
