If you were to post that a killer asteroid were going to strike Earth
(And let's assume you were telling the truth, providing links to NASA or Bruce Willis for verification.)

If you failed to offer up a solution to save some or all of humanity, would your post represent useless whining? I'm curious about this, because it seems to be a recurring theme seen here and almost anywhere else where issues such as homelessness, economic collapse, energy decline, resource depletion in general and other problems are discussed.

Does it really fall on the bearer of bad news to fend off the invading horde or happen to have just the thing to turn water into fuel? Or even to know of someone else who does?

1. If I were to post that a killer asteroid were going to strike Earth ...
it would be posted in Late Breaking News and would be posted without comment.

3. Dept. of Faith-Based Initiatives
Sure, this is the US! How about Billy Graham or Pat Robertson. They claim very powerful prayer JuJu. And an asteroid is not on schedule unless they and most of the country is raptured. It might be quite a sight if all those nude Xtians stand on hillsides or roofs waving their arms as the sky gets brighter and brighter.

4. No, people have a right to know.
And someone else might have a solution.
