Trump: "If I were to run I would be able to win...I am not ready to leave the private sector."
Donald Trump: Hail to Someone Else -- I'm Not Running

10 minutes ago by TMZ Staff

Donald Trump says if he ran for President of the United States he'd win, but he still decided against doing it.

http://www.tmz.com/2011/05/05/donald-trump-not-running-for-president-celebrity-apprentice-candidate-press-release-republican-nomination-candidate-candidacy/

Trump says, "I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run I would be able to win the primary and ultimately the general election." But, Trump concludes, "Ultimately business is my greatest passion and I am not ready to leave the private sector."

Trump, always shy, says, it was a hard decision, "especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country."

And in a shocker, Trump didn't wait until the finale of "Celebrity Apprentice" -- he pulled out a week before he crowns the winner. Timing, Donald.

1. In other words ... if he was going to run ...
he'd have to disclose his $$$ ... and he doesn't want to do that ...

5. By far the funniest of the teabagger potentials!
The other candidates are only indirectly funny due to mocking by others. Trump himself is funny, no need to mock him, he IS the joke.

4. Well, he got what he wanted from his little caper
His crappy TV show got renewed, although at considerable cost to whatever dignity he ever had.

And um, I don't think he's been following the polls all that closely. The latest polls had him down amongst the Santorums, Cains, and Pawlentys.

26. You know, it's sad. Before this wank off session, he had more credibility.
We knew him as a flamboyant egomaniac who called out Bush-Cheney-Rice for being inept managers with crappy judgment. Now it turns out that he was only pissed off that whoever was in charge wasn't him. What terrible judgment; what horrible marketing. He New-Coked himself.

...you're a loser and a joke and no one, not even enough braindead Republicans, could take you seriously.

Buh-bye. Don't let NBC cancel The Apprentice on your way out.

27. This birther wankery will prove to be bad for him.
He's hurt his own good will with the public. He used to be a big ego who took audacious risks, which occasionally paid off. Now he seems like an out of control ego who has crappy judgment. Now he's a joke. I see a sad decline for his ratings in the coming months. There's a difference between pissing off your audience and turning off your audience. The Do' seems to have crossed that line by going full birther.
