An Ipad is a computer of sorts. It is not a phone. I guess you might be able to use skype (or a similar program) on it, but make a direct call like a cell phone, no.

11. Well maybe I got the name wrong but it was an I something and it was for making calls

plus all kinds of other things like surfing the web etc.
I'm pretty sure he said it was an ipad though, something 4 I believe it was
