Drum Roll: The GOP's plan to repeal the Health Care Bill....
Health Reform Repeal Bill
8:11 pm January 3, 2011, by Jamie Dupree

Republicans in the U.S. House have decided to force a vote next week on a two page, GOP plan that would repeal the Obama Administration's health reform law.

The plan would not pick and choose what should be repealed from the law - it would do away with all of the Democratic Party's health reform changes.

Here is the text of the bill:

2. Only two pages of legislation to get rid of 2,000 more?
I know there's an object lesson in here somewhere, but I'm too tired to speculate on it now.

12. They're Republicans. The English language is not their strong suit.
(because they speak "American.")

4. Honestly, does it even fucking matter one way or the other?
The so-called "reform" was just another giveaway to the same private, corporate, life-destroying and soul-crushing insurance behemoths who have been spreading misery and killing the futures of entire fucking families for decades.

If we don't have the collective spine to pass a true single-payer system, then anything else is just more clusterfuck kabuki theater to give the appearance that something is being done.

5. Could be. Trying to be optimistic.
Knowing either way it will correct things, if they get bad enough they will crumble, if they correct things then things get better.

17. I respect your attempts at optimism.
I really do.

But as for myself, I'm finding less and less reasons to retain any sort of optimism lately.

6. Generally, people who claim "my way or the highway" (as you are) are wrong in general. In other
words, progress is defined by you and those with similar views not getting their way. People actually said the same thing about SS back in the 30s -- fortunately for most, they were ignored and rendered irrelevant.

15. "My way or the highway" my ASS.
More like "30-odd other industrialized nations' way or the highway."

Our standards of living, life expectancy, and several other key social indicators are slipping for a reason.

And of course people bitched and moaned about Social Security. Those would be the same types then who are yelling over and over about how Single Payer would be "eeeeeevil!!!" and "Soshulism!!!" today.

Don't try putting any more words in my mouth or ideas in my head, because you clearly don't know enough.

11. I know. They don't because the Corporate Media and the Democrats themselves
refuse to fight to get the message out there and explain what's really going on.

It's so incredibly frustrating!!!

14. And this is the one bill they won't subject to "CutGo"
Because the projected savings are in the hundreds of billions, the Republicans won't come up with concomitant cuts in other programs to offset the money they'll have to spend for repeal.

Do NOT, however, expect to see that little factual tidbit mentioned in the popular media.

This is mine, but we need to enact it.

(a) The Republican Party is immediately disbanded.
(b) All Republican officeholders are immediately removed from office.
(c) Any office that contains a Republican will conduct a special election to place a new officeholder in it. No officeholder may be politically appointed.
(d) Creating a new political party with any form of the word "Republican" in its name, or with any derivation of the common nickname "Grand Old Party," is expressly forbidden.

SEC. 3: Repeal of Republican-written and other job-killing laws
Upon enactment of this Act,
(a) All laws passed between January 20, 1981, and January 19, 1993, and between January 20, 2001, and January 19, 2009, will be declared Null and Void.
