2. United Airlines flight diverts to Toronto

A United Airlines flight was diverted to Toronto late Monday after concerns over an electrical issue, an airport official said.

Flight 940 was en route from Chicago to Frankfurt, Germany with 258 passengers aboard. It landed without incident at Pearson International Airport around 10 p.m., according to according to Sgt. Peter Riemenschneider with Peel Regional Police.

The Boeing 777 is being assessed at a gate, Riemenschneider said. The passengers have not left the plane.
