Let me say this to all of you who feels President Obama will not be relected, he will!
Now go fight all over yourselves. The GOP has no one to select and Kuch will not primary President Obama.

Let the games begin, am an Obamabot, smiling all the way to the elections.

President Obama for a second term.

1. If the Democrats lose the senate, what difference will it make?
Not that having a majority amounted to much anyway

trying his best to bring Guantamano to rest. Too bad the so-called democrats were not for President Obama!

4. It will still make a HUGE difference to have Obama in the WH as opposed to a repukelican.
Edited on Tue May-17-11 11:58 PM by Tx4obama

President Obama may have the opportunity to appoint one or two more Supreme Court justices in the next 5 1/2 years.
President Obama will be appointing many more judges to the Federal Courts of Appeals and District Court judges.
SO WE NEED THE SENATE in order to get the judges confirmed!

President Obama has the power to veto any bill that comes to his desk. SO if we did lose the Senate he still could use his veto power.

President Obama will still be the one in charge of foreign policy, and all of his administrations departments: State Dept, Dept of Justice, etc. so at least those parts won't be affected too much if there were a GOP senate except for budget/funding of those departments.

If the republicans take over the House, Senate, AND the White House - we would be in big trouble!

12. After the hit job the SC did on the 4th Amendment recently (with the
help of two Obama SC Justices - Kagan and Sotomayor), I fail to see how Obama appointing SC Justices makes one bit of difference.

Bottom line: Obama is at best only marginally better than the Repukes. He had two years with Dem majorities in both House and Senate and he and his crew completely blew it. They could have fashioned a new New Deal for all Americans but, instead, we got what?

I don't really blame Obama so much as Rahm and his strategy of insulting Obama's base over and over while conceding the terms of the debate (on healthcare, for example) to Repukes before the debate even began. Obama's STARTING POSITION should have been single payer national health care and then, if necessary, compromise to a hybrid public-private system with a robust public option.

Obama will probably win re-election but I don't think his re-election will mean much for every-day Americans. Hope I'm wrong.

14. We did NOT have 60 dems in the Senate for two years. That was the problem.
Without 60 dems (true dems and not DINOs) it was impossible to get cloture on many of the bills and on many of Obama's nominees.

9. If they had the Presidency and both houses of Congress
Edited on Wed May-18-11 12:00 AM by pnwmom
you don't think THAT would make a difference?

Guess the Supreme Court doesn't matter at all, either.

5. It just breaks my heart to see how no one supports him,
Cornwell West and Tavis Smiley hate him. At least former presidents had a watchdog, this president, no one!
