Poor, poor Newtie: Newt Gingrich campaign fights for its life
Even his supporters predicted Newt Gingrich’s mouth might knock him out of the presidential race.

But no one thought it would happen before his first real campaign trip to Iowa.

Now, Gingrich is urgently struggling to convince the political class that his 2012 hopes aren’t dead, amid an unending barrage of Republican attacks over his comments on the House GOP’s proposed Medicare overhaul.

Gingrich finally seemed to realize the seriousness of his political plight Tuesday, when he held three conference calls, made a personal apology to House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan and admitted in a Fox News appearance: “I made a mistake.”

2. Couldn't happen fast enough for the Goebbels clone and serial adulterer.
It must really be hard to make love to women (high school teachers, interns or whatever) who have to wear clothes-pins on their noses to get in bed with him. But the slithering salamander just keeps trying.

5. Newt is and always was part of the noise sideshow
in order to float various ideas which allows the party power-brokers to fine tune their message for 2012 and see just how far to the Right they can go. Such was the same with the now faded Palin, Trump, Huckabee and I am sure a couple of others. Newt isn't going anywhere beyond a long shot #2 spot and I don't think that will happen in any case.

For now it's about noise.

7. It's been long in coming, but I'm enjoying his crash and burn.
Same voice, same tone, same smugness, but people are finally throwing rotten tomatoes at him.
