Why do women do it?

Why is it that guys like Arnold and Tiger only need to set one foot outside of the door to be bombarded with offers? I mean they both are only moderately attractive. There are plenty of better looking guys out there who don't get as many offers.

IMO, it's stupid to be a starf****r. Not that I think Maria Shriver was doing that. However, I have NO idea what she was doing--except that the Kennedy men are pretty poor role models as husbands. Maybe she didn't expect better.

Doesn't apply to me, but I know certain women are not blameless in these trysts.

With men they know to be married?

my girlfriends and I have discussed this before and we all can't understand it. Of course there may be an attraction but none of us have ever gone after a married guy. It's baffling to me.

not that they are really interested in the man, just "he wants her" and does her ego good. fuck the pain for everyone around

we need to teach our young women that they don't need to be desired by a man to prove their worth. My daughter is slowly learning this (she's 21) and seems happier too.

there are things we dont teach our boys either and leave to society that does not behoove them

I am not as familiar with boys since I do not have a son however I do notice how my brother and his wife have raised their son - who is a very good man. He's hard working, dedicated, loyal and loving. What he does need to learn is that asking for help does not imply weakness or failure.

Some couldn't deal with the intimacy of a closer, day to day relationship.

And some go after a married guy to lure him away from his wife because he's got the do-re-mi.

That as many as one third of the people in the US, if given a DNA test, would find they are not biologically related to their mom's husband (their supposed "dad")

Both of my parents -- in fact, pretty much the entire extended family -- had brown hair and green eyes. I am the only blue-eyed, (natural) blond in the bunch.

Just one reason of many why I never fit in with -- or felt a part of -- that family. They're also all Republicans. :crazy:

living in an upper middle class suburb and had multiple affairs, based on a woman I had known many years ago. She already had money and a lovely house,plus several kids, and I always wondered why she had serial affairs over the years (between having children with her husband!). I think it was because she was very young when she married and felt looked down upon by her snobby neighbors because she never went to college (and neighbors were "seven sister colleges" types). She always chose younger men and one fell for her so badly that he showed up at her husband's office in NYC and demanded that he give her divorce so she could marry him. The woman was not happy with what her young lover did...she liked being married to her husband and had a good life with him!

I have never figured this lady out, but to tell you the truth I remember liking her. She was artistic and funny...

i really think it is lack of character for better want to find the answer. i read a study on both gender who cheated and it reduced it to, a simple matter of lacking character. i forgot the specifics on the conclusion. but i agreed with it. i had been on du enough to know there are as many men that would not think of cheating,a s women, so it was not the tiresome, genetically encoded reason

I don't think that is exactly "lack of character" (altho it could be if she goes after a married or otherwise attached man). That could be just an emotional response to hurt and pain.
Or, she could be married to someone who is cold and abusive and she doesn't want to get a divorce because of the children. Or what if she just plain falls in love with someone else?

Lack of character is one of many reasons, I think, but it's JMHO...

but those choices are there and the person that make this choice does it cause they .... lack character.

there are all kinds of ways to solve the problems without it resulting in lacking integrity.

find ways of solving the problem and, if that fails (and it often does), then seeking a split (this can be difficult, if not downright dangerous, for some women to attempt, if the husband is prone to violence).That's a sad scenario, and I would have sympathy for a woman who seeks someone who will treat her well, even if she doesn't do it in the right sequence. Life is messy, isn't it?

I've known two married women recently who cheated on their husbands and that was the reason both of them gave independently of the other one.
