Wisconsin - Voter ID law eliminates training for state-wide voter registration officers.
I just spoke with Allison Coakley, Training Coordinator, Elections Division, Wisconsin Government Accountability Board.

Allison informed me the bill passed today, and expected to be signed next week, eliminates state training for Special Registration Deputies (SRDs). SRD' can register new voters state-wide.

Now if you wish to register voters, you must be certified by the municipality in which you wish to register. So if you want to register voters in ten different towns, you have to see ten different municipal clerks and get certified by each.

I'd like the Republicans to explain how that prevents voter fraud.

1. How is any of this Constitutional????
These pukes should be exposed on every fucking news channel in this country. They have over-stepped boundaries that they deliberately crossed. This is nothing more than an agenda to disenfranchise Wisconsinites and democracy itself. They are fucking TRAITORS to their state and country!

3. Since there are so many more voters who disagree with the Republican agenda,
Republicans want to discourage voting. If they send the numbers down there chances of winning improve. Winning and selling that control is their m.o..

5. And of course the provisions are designed to disenfranchise
the urban poor, university students away from home, homeless people, and other groups who vote largely Democratic.

7. .You were kind enough to respond to
a recent post I made with a suggestion to call GAB and find out about this process. She explained that to me also.

She also informed me you don't need voter ID to vote in July recalls. It was not encouraging as I was hoping to see if

there was a possibility of an absentee 'workaround'-register voters before Jan ID req.Looks like ALEC covered that.

I can't tell you how disheartened I am re: the depths they are willing to sink in their willingness to subvert the

electoral process.Again, this is right from the ALEC playbook. I read what I could from their site previously, when I

could access it.It seems they cant wipe their own ass without getting 'permission' from their corp$$.

Unfortunately, I live in OZ co -a 'retired pean' and can't drive ,if this latest spate of BS hadn't passed,I was willing to find

a way to Mil and elsewhere and help with registration efforts.I have helped in other ways-Lit pass-even phone bank, and

that gives me the heebie jeebies.Do you have any insight on how we can help make their voter suppression bill passage the

absolute rousing awe inspiring huge fantastic mega eruption of utter FLICKING FAIL it deserves to be?

Sorry for the spew I'm frustrated but serious.
