I don;t see much difference between this thread and one on FR. Track hasn't done anything that I know of except serve our country in a war zone.

I wish them much happiness in their future endeavors and thank him for his service to our country.

92. There's a reason he served in a war zone
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x6892728

There is widespread and very credible evidence Track was one of four teens who broke into the school district motor pool and unplugged the block heaters on 110 buses, causing 44 of them to not be able to be started and closed school for a day. Palin pulled him out of school in Alaska and shipped him to Michigan for his senior year, supposedly so big college athletic recruiters could see him play, even though Track was one of the better players in Alaska and was well-known in prep hockey. (There's a young gentleman named Carlos Boozer who will attest to how hard it is for a promising Alaska high school student-athlete to be noticed by big college recruiters. Right now y'all are thinking, "didn't he play for Duke?")

Quick summary: Track joined the Army in lieu of prison.

2. Overpopulation is a problem
But when people call for solutions, there is an elephant in the room.

Whether it is in Alaska, or the Mid-East, the stupid, heavily religious types LOVE TO BREED, and they know how to use that to gain POLITICAL POWER!

Ever wonder why places like New Jersey and Massachusetts could put GOP in office, it is because the liberals have less children, and the religious people are steeping it up!

75. Floral design expert weighing in:
YES.

I did a wedding a couple of years ago and the bride and bridesmaids were holding their bouquets like color guards holding a flag--it looked ridiculous. I instructed them--repeatedly--to hold them at "coochie level!" As they began proceeding down the aisle, I was standing at the entrance hissing "coochie! Coochie!"

Elbows slightly crooked, relaxed arms. Unless you're carrying a sheaf like a beauty queen. I don't recommend those unless you're tall and thin

32. Oh--no, they are having a gift grab next winter, fear you not--

Track Palin at the 2008 Republican National Convention (Justin Sullivan/Getty Images) • Married: Track Palin, 22, to his longtime girlfriend Britta Hanson, 21, People reports. The oldest but lowest-profile of Todd and Sarah Palin’s five kids recently exchanged vows with the nursing student in a small ceremony in Hatcher Pass, an Alaska skiing mecca about an hour north of Wasilla; but plan a larger celebration in the winter, according to a joint statement from both families. The high school sweethearts grew up together, their parents told the magazine: “We’re tickled that after two decades of friendship we proudly witnessed their marriage.” Track, who served a year in Iraq, is now an Army Reservist; the magazine said he plans to study at the University of Alaska after the commercial fishing season ends.

69. Why the continued insistence that Track should have served jail time?
If the rumors of his alleged vandalism were true, he was only 15 or 16 at the time, and posters here argue regularly that young people of that age don't have a fully matured brain and should not be held responsible for their actions.

Unless we don't like their family members. Then they should.

Was he charged with anything? Indicted? People also post that one is 'innocent' until 'proven' guilty. Despite those words not being part of the constitution.

36. I certainly wish them both well -
- from the article it sounds like they're grounded, hard working young adults who have been together for quite a few years. I sincerely hope they have much love and success.

I find all these nasty remarks towards children of public figures really juvenile and terribly hateful. They look like a nice, happy couple. If you can't say anything nice, then just let it go and say nothing . . .

. . . because the nasty remarks say more about YOU than about anyone else.

45. Track Palin is now a public figure himself. He was on his mother's reality show.

48. I hope they are happy together.
I figure, if the child of a well-known figure keeps out of the limelight we should treat them like we would anybody else. Be polite and kind and wish them well.

51. But he hasn't kept out of the limelight. He's got quite the juvie record in AK. His mother's
fame got him off. And he was on mother's reality show. He uses his mother's fame when it's convenient for him. A private citizen he is not.

91. Track and Brita have stayed out of the news.
Edited on Sat May-21-11 10:49 PM by Blue_In_AK
I wish them well. Here's Brita at Sarah's last governor's picnic in 2008, after SP announced her resignation. Brita and Track have been together for quite a while, so if she's pregnant, so what?

Rumor is that Sarah has bought a house in Scottsdale, Arizona, and may be moving there
. Perhaps she'll leave the house on Lake Lucille to the kids (or Todd).

Sorry, Arizona.
