It's been a long two years and the next two don't look to be much better, except......the entertainment factor, the idiocy will be much, much higher. Maybe not Palin high, but she sets a really high bar for idiocy, so we can't have everything, right?

Just this week, we have Darrell Issa, The Weeper of the House and irony of all ironies, this 112th Congress, or more specifically, the Republicans of this clown bus will start out by reading the Constitution into the record. And they can't understand why we would mock such blatant hypocrisy, I mean patriotism (not). This stuff in your hands will be like watching virtuoso play his piano.

They will write the material for you. Please add your wit and satire to this small bit of mockability in a really lousy world.

Oh, there will be rich waters in which to troll for Idiots come Wednesday...

it brought me here too in 2002, the time is ripe for a return!

"It" was posted on every progressive website back in the day and I'm sure contributed to the huge membership DU enjoys today.

Well, that and the place is Repuke chucklehead-free for the most part.

1. Because it is no longer new information, the top ten seem to just be things we have already discussed, sometimes at length, on DU

2. sometimes I do not like the way we spin a statement. That is, having discussed it already on DU sometimes I find errors in the way it is presented. So at least in my mind I would then be reading the top ten and find some of the entries to be wrong.

3. it's all negative, negative, negative. What about the good news? Can we say something positive about our side or our people instead of always being negative about their side and their people? Ultimately nobody is perfect, but very few are actually the "worst person in the world" either. It's like we compile a list of their fumbles, interceptions and hits into double plays, and on the other side FR can compile a list of our fumbles, interceptions and hits into double plays. Can we say anything positive about our side? Do we have any touchdown passes, first down runs, or home runs to cheer about?

It's kinda hard to base your support on jeering the other team, especially when your own team starts promoting wage freezes, tax cuts for the rich, and cuts to social security.

it has been sort of rattling around in my brain that it would be possible to have the duzys without someone having to sort theme. we could have the duzy forum. people could just post a permalink to a very funny post. maybe the guys would let us decorate it a little bit, so it looks more hollywood.
but, why not?

For the next two years, Obama's going to making deals with those idiots, much to the chagrin of liberals across the country. It would be "unseemly" to call them idiots while the President is smiling and shaking their hands.

If you're going to beg someone to bring something back it's probably a good idea to at least mention what the hell it is you want brought back.
