The End of the World is near.... (on dead birds)

I can already see it. After all it will come on the 21 of May (I think) and the final count has started. No need for any silly sciency stuff.

Now on a more serious note... all these dead birds (and fish) I was willing to say it was somebody did a very illegal dump... it might be as simple as that... except for the geographic distribution. So it is something in the air. The birds may be getting sick (Yea I heard the excuse blunt trauma) and we need to ask... what the hell is making them sick? If you care to notice not only is this near the release of Corexit, it is also industrial farm central... and the lands and water ways around oh pig farms, get really polluted.



That is what goes around those farms.

Yes, civilizations do collapse when they do what we are doing to the environment...

Oh well.

In the meantime... the end of the world is near! Who needs all that sciency stuff... birds falling from the sky... is indeed in Revelations and Isaiah... (Because it also happened back then for other reasons)

On the downside, if we go to less concentrated food production... people will go hungry... or food will go up through the roof. Sustainable is not cheap, at least NOT NOW. Oh and you can bet your sweet potatoes that Tyson foods will fight this investigation.

It is the cluster that is of interest here. One flock, sure it happens. But we are having more than a few bird falling off the sky. I need to keep the kids away from this coverage though. Looking at dead birds even on the tv is distressing to the two conures.

I'm scheduled to move back into the fire lookout tower for the 2011 fire season on May 21. What the hell. I guess a 30-foot fire tower on a 6400-foot butte is as good a place as any for The Second Coming!
