What if --- another Rapture thought, bear with me
My kid, who is non-religious posed this thought to me.

What if, all those people were raptured, but wound up in hell instead?

Kinda makes you go hmmmmmm.....

2. That is 'leaving' as a trap doctrine.

It is told in the moth-man movie. Where the person runs off and freezes to death.

It is the idea that if you want to leave everyone behind, then you are culled from society.

There are many that believe the idea said where "anyone that does not leave there mothers, brothers and family" will not be with me, is actually a trap.

It took awhile to find a way to understood that verse, it always seemed wrong, would you want to be with people that would abandon there families to reach some better place? Eventually I learned it as leaving your comfort zone for better results, and finding the independence as a person.

Although it can also be said as leaving your comfort zone and growing up, or like a soldier to war, but war is hell, so who knows.

But when asked that question, my answer is I don't have to be with them, becuase they will always be with me, and I don't have to think about leaving them, since my heart loves my family. Even if most of my life I figured I would spend time getting to know my family always at some later time after some task.

But yea that is a really old interpretation on that concept, that leaving is bad. I would say why would you be leaving, when Christ is in your heart, and you don't have to go to some place to find him. Although heaven at end is comforting through hardship, people should also make life better for the people they are around if they can, and not just want to leave them.

That was the contradiction that led me to the idea of leaving nobody behind, and from there the idea that everyone is suppose to move up together.

On a side note, I did while in a particularly difficult battle, go for some walks to find family, but it was not to leave them, but to find them, even if they were already there, but I could not see them, since my growth had changed created the knowledge that I never really spent the time to get to know most of my family, so when I did see them, I never really knew them anyways.

Maybe it was a trek to find myself, who knows, but I don't think people have to, nor would be told, to leave people behind, but might be told that finding things outside your comfort zone is part of growing.

And I am still due beer and travel money.
