1. Fla
Some say Florida isn't a part of the south.. We'll hope so. Some in the South call it a Northern state considering all the snow birds. But, way too many of them are Gobbers.. Still, technically the pundits call Fla. a swing state.. the reason so many of Fla's Congressman are gobbers is gerrymandering.

11. It's probably in play, just like North Carolina and Virginia.
Obama needs to stress the emphasis that their social safety net is being threatened for real and they aren't going to be happy with the results.

It's not just the south, though. From Texas and Oklahoma from the southwest, Kansas and Nebraska up into Utah, Idaho, Montana, and the Dakotas have become noticeably red. Being a southerner, I know race does play a large role in their anti-Obama fervor. But there are some racist conclaves in several regions that did not show it before. Some areas like Florida require a good amount of time and money spent. Others not so much. The Fla governor may have alienated enough people to reel it it again in 2012. Like Wisconsin and Ohio, I think the voters underestimated the cost of trusting republiCons, and their teabag tagalongs.
