Remarkable video as people inside store ride out hit from Joplin tornado.

It was dark inside store, the video sound is the important part. You can hear what a tornado hitting sounds like.
Quite remarkable, really.
And nothing I want to be even close to, ever ever.

6. Me too. Esp. since it seemed to hit twice, but the message under the video said

the first sound was glass being sucked out THEN the tornado hit.
Thank god they had time to move into a more protected place.

May have been the eye of the storm? Not that I'd ever want to experience it up close and personal as these poor people have. No mention of injuries so I hope everyone was physically ok. But how terrifying!!!

8. No, that is a hurricane. A tornado is vortex winds that blow huge amounts of debris around.

9. The windows were most likely sucked out by the pressure....

as the tornado approached. Man that had to be terrifying. I've ridden out one Level 2 tornado and it's an amazing display of nature's power.
