Freepers throwing a royal tantrum...(NY State race)
In New York State, they are blaming everyone except their candidate.
As usual.

9. They are not wrong. Boner should have not forced a vote on
"Throw Grandma Off the Cliff". It was a stupid thing to do.

Once again, voters get what they deserve. Apparently, this was in a usually Republican district. Just great, moron voters.

//So hal is calling the voters of the district who normally vote Republican, morons? Yes, hal, voters are getting what they deserve, thank you very much.

-------------------------

Dont know anything about this, however if this was a Republican district, does this mean that the Rats have cheated again? (Fraud?)

//CC probably should have stopped with "Dont know anything about this".

--------------------------

Besides the “Tea Party” X-factor, it was interesting the amount of negative comments about Corwin from even Conservative voters. Of course, her defending entitlements like Medicare didn’t help.

//sure, microfon, Corwin would have waltzed to a big win had, she only supported Ryan's plan to gut Medicare. :eyes:

---------------------------

In Nov Lee won this seat roughly 150k to 50k over the dem.

So, it looks like the dem is going to wind up with around the same 50k, maybe slightly less, than the party got in Novemeber.

But the GOP went from 150k for Lee to around 40k this time.

What happened to the other 110k who voted Republican just 6 months ago. If even 10% of them showed up we’d have held the seat.

//yeah, what happened to those voters anyway? I guess they weren't too keen on electing a person who would help to destroy MC/SS? At least he's wondering...

----------------------------

It matters. This is a very heavily Republican district. The party will claim it means nothing, but it will scare the wits out of Republicans in "this Congress" from advancing much more in the way of entitlement reforms.

Yes, there was a fake TEA Party candidate, but even that is bad news. The left will see that some dunderheads will vote for anything with a TEA Party after their name and run many more just like all over the country in 2012.

//Now there's a real American for yeah...

------------------------------

Progressive stinkin Obama lovers are saying this is a sign of what 2012 will be like. They will run with this for 6 days in the news while Obama sells out Israel to terrorists and gives them an office in DC on our dime. How brain dead are the NY jewish democrat progressives?

The rest are repeats of "it's all Boehner's fault, because he pushed the House to vote on the proposal we all thought was terriffic." nonsense and Davis was a Dem in disguise. Jeltz25 seems to be asking the right question, but no one really wants to answer it.

She's one of Paul Ryan's proteges, so she's a RINO? Geez, these brainfarts would call Hitler anti-Nazi.

18. Yes, the OP has it wrong in that respect.
It's not true that none of them blamed their candidate. One school of thought body of opinion is that she lost because she wasn't conservative enough.

We're in trouble, DUers. At least someone on FR has figured out that the way to win big in 2012 is to run candidates at all levels who are as far to the right as possible. Let's hope that most Republicans ignore this advice.

I mean, we Communists and Islamosymps here at DU are all deathly afraid of that far-right strategy. We really, really don't want them to do that. We know that it would end our plan to destroy America.

Boy, I hope they don't do that.

But it’s hard to understand how you go frm o150,000 to 40,000 in 6 months in a heavily GOP district that has delivered heavy GOP wins for quite some time,

Well, Ryan’s budget was a nice effort but it obviously has no chance now. Not that it did before. There weer never 60 votes in the Senate for it, and there were never going to be. So I never really got the big deal over it. It never had any chance of becoming law.
