Gay NASCAR driver, please stand up, By Mark Morford
Turn on the TV. Switch on ESPN, Fox Sports, NFL Sunday Ticket or any of those 24-hour satellite channels or sports webcasts that broadcast live games from across the country in one nonstop testosterone-happy grunt.

Look, right there. Did you see him? The one who just slam dunked? The one who tackled that receiver? The one who smashed that double to left center? That guy with the huge smile, hint of flair and the crazy thing with the hair? Guess what? Yep. Totally gay.

Bet on it, darling. There are gay men, right now, playing basketball in the NBA. There are gay men playing football, right now, in the NFL. Ditto Major League Baseball. Hockey, even. There are gay men (and women) scattered all over most every college team everywhere. I mean, obviously.

And I'm going to lay it all on the line and bet you a dollar -- all right, make it $10, hell, make it $100 and a bottle of Veuve Cliquot and a mani-pedi in the Castro -- that there is, right this minute, a gay NASCAR driver. Oh my God! Heathen! Blaspheme! Shut up! ...

3. nascar drivers learned their lesson when tim richman died
tim was a great driver and if he had lived would be a shoe in for the hall of fame but....

he became ill one season and struggled through out the year.the rumors started flying about what was wrong. he could`t buy a ride .

it was aids...so it was rumored that he was gay and the nascar community turned their backs to him. but tim was`t gay. what he was a young guy with a lot of money and good looks that love`d up the wrong ladies.

a sad chapter in nascar history that everyone wants to forget....

4. Its a shame that some people hate the gay like they do
I put the blame on the bible and its teachings. One of the main reasons that I am non religious today is because of those peoples intolerance for their fellow humans because they were born a little different than they're bodies would belie.

5. If it were only the Bible,
Then they would be hating on Red Lobster and the shrimp agenda. Their Bible provides a convenient excuse for their sexual phobias and dysfunctions.

6. Sure it does
I have a neighbor who I love dearly mostly because we're both tinkerers who are thinking outside of the box and building things to show for it but he is a bible thumper and I've yet to get it through his stupid ass mind that gay people are born gay not decided to be gay somewhere along the line. When he starts his bullshit I put a stop to it by asking him just how old were you when you decided you didn't want to be gay, stops him dead in his tracks every time but no matter a few days later hes back on the hating the gay. It wears me out but by de-friending him I will never get him to see the light and I owe that to my good friend who I grew up with who is gay and was gay from the day he was born. Neighbor always brings up 'but in the bible' and thats when I drop the bomb on him. I'm a non-religious person so I don't have much time for bible talk anyway. I came about my non-religious leanings honestly too but thats a different story. I don't try to push my atheism onto him but he tries to push his religion onto me but I don't put up with it.
He watches Rachel and likes her thinks shes a straight shooter but when I tell him that she's gay his eyes glaze over and just flat can't accept that so he doesn't believe me so I let it slide as Rachel is special and he learns a lot of truth from her so its worth it to let him continue on with his denial in that case. :hi:

9. Sorry, but I do not think any of the Sprint Cup drivers are gay
Most of them are married with kids.

10. That in itself doesn't rule anyone out
I know someone who is married and with children but he's gay nevertheless. He simply wanted children to carry on his genes. He doesn't consider himself bi either. So who's to know.
