Hit and hit hard RIGHT NOW before conservative big lie gets out there about the Ryan plan which will HAVE to be "....dems support it too..."
GOP is coming up with the big lie as we type this morning, some serious money was pored into NY-26 which went 47% GOP last year and swung 53% in less than 6 months mostly because of Ryan plan.
Some give the number for DNC so we can tell them to get the message out BEFORE GOP big lie and not responding to it.
13. My take is, expand that. Make that a given, and include all of it.
And rotate the charges. As soon as they make an excuse for one democratic insult, sling another. Ad infinitum. They can be tied up in the ropes as we hurl elbows from God.
My calendar shows another 18 months until election day...a long 18 months. What we are dealing now aren't going to be the ones that people will be voting on next year. Themes yes, specifics, no...and thus last night's win was important but only one piece in what will be crafted over the next year. The Ryan scam to destroy Medicare is just one aspect Democrats need to focus on...there's still big battles ahead about the debt ceiling and then a budget that could shut the economy and country down as well as the statewide union busting that should destroy the GOTB in many of the "rust belt" states.
The game now should be to continue to force the rushpublicans to vote and defend their draconian agenda. Do it regularly...and build up a record they can't run from next year. The votes in NY-26 showed one thing last night...you can't spend millions to sell a lie. Common sense has and will prevail.
We can always come back, but for the next month, I would attack the GOP for denying aid to the victims of the Midwest tornadoes (nb - "Red State" victims), in order to score points with their Tea Party base.
