Florida poll: Scott approval rate hits new low
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida Gov. Rick Scott's approval rating has dropped to a new low, although he's been on the job for less than five months.

A poll released Wednesday shows Florida voters disapproved of the way Scott's been doing that job by a 57% to 29% margin.

The Quinnipiac University poll, though, shows the Republican governor has plenty of company.

Voters rated the GOP-controlled Florida Legislature about the same. They disapproved of lawmakers' work 56% to 27%.

1. The Democrats should pickup at least 10 legislative seats in 2012. If they don't something is wrong...

3. Okay, new rule for Florida
Sobriety tests for all voters. Voting under the influence is really the only excuse I can think of for the Sunshine State's sorry-ass record in the last 10-15 years of persistently voting for the absolute worst candidates on the ballot.

I hope Florida voters' current dissatisfaction with their elected officials continues until November next year.

7. Why Florida is so messed up
To be honest, this would deserve it's own thread, with my fellow Sunshine state people like madflo joining in. But let me explain why Florida voting sucks. We have the WORST Democratic party in the union, and yes, I do include the deep south. We have a democratic party that enshrines the DINO philosophy, and makes sure anyone who is liberal gets slammed. For example, yes, I know some people on here LOVE Debbie Wasserman-Schulz, but she has been known to avoid attacking the Miami Cuban GOP stalwarts like Diaz-Balart and los-Reithnen, calling them "friends." On the other hand, many of these DINOS happily got on the bandwagon to demonize Alan Grayson. The excuse they make is that the Florida GOp is too extreme, and they are right. We have a population made up of A) those who moved from up North to avoid "taxes" and "low quality of life" (in other words, running from Urban Blacks and the first wave of Outsourcing), as for B) we have the sort of people who, even in the days of the Confederacy, considered the rest of the nation to decadent and urban. It's no secret we have the world's largest confederate flag. I get upset, because Florida truly could be a place where the mistakes of the past could yield to the future, we have lots of flat, sunny land for solar panel, and our cities are new enough to where we can actually PLAN them, but no, instead we have a group of people who want to combine the worst aspects of New jersey and Mississippi, with none of the virtues.

And yes, the Florida democratic party gets a LOT of blame, as sadly, do some other Florida leftists. I know the Nader people will never, ever, ever admit blame, even if they, like I, had to listen to hours and hours of gloating on TV, Radio, and yes, even Churches, about how the GOP used Nader to split the vote, and where they admitted they would do it again. Let's not even mention the way Rick Scott just rewrote law to make sure that democrats who vote get harassed. It would have been nice if Alex Sink contested the vote, but she was too ready to get into a cushy job afterword.
