1. Yeah, I'm finding that
I watch less and less of any kind of news or commentary these days. I really don't need up to the minute commentary on how insane the Repugs are. I already know that.

2. Just think of them as the DC Three Ring Circus
come to town complete with elephants and donkeys.

In ring number one is the Oval Office or executive branch with President Obama's trained donkey and blue dog show. In ring number two is the Senate and a reenactment of the race between the McConnell turtle and the Reid hare who runs to smash the legislation coming from the House while the turtle tries to trip him. Of course in ring number three, is the main attraction, the Republican House of Representatives clown show led by the head orange clown, who cries a lot, and which follows the elephant Tea Party act. It should be really funny when the clowns trip and fall over the left over tea bags and into the elephant poop.

4. I so know how you feel!
Cannot control it...cannot change it...cannot do anything but watch and cringe...and worry! Best to not watch and spend the time doing something with some chance for positive results. Spring will be here soon and we can all plant gardens, give it our time and our toil and have some control over how it grows. For now, seed catalogs are starting to show up in my mail box and the planning can begin. Time to turn off the TV.

8. I'm a huge Prince fan and have recently come across hours and hours
Edited on Tue Jan-04-11 11:20 PM by Liberal_Stalwart71
of podcasts on his music and his legacy. Politics is not on my radar right now. All doom and gloom, and I need to watch my blood pressure.

I'll listen to Randi and Stephanie because at least they bring humor and rationality to politics these days. Rachel is better now than she was last year, but she and Keith are too hysterical for me. And, Ed is impossible. Larry O'Donnell's show is great, but I still don't always watch.

10. I had this in mind for a New Year's Resolution,

Watch less television ( No Keith or Rachel for a while) after the new congress comes into session.

When I got home from work, I moved NPR to the very end of my car radio's station presets.

Before bed, I'm going to block out all news networks, and Fox Propaganda.

I plan on getting alot of reading done.
