I guess Paul Ryan took notice :)

The Tea Party candidate WAS a Democrat.

Because a former Democrat would be expected to siphon votes off of the Democratic side of the ballot. I guess what Ryan is saying is that Tea Baggers are too stupid to actually investigate the candidates, and merely vote for party labels.

By the way, Zell Miller is a former Democrat, as is Joe Lieberman. So Ryan's complaint - while technically accurate - doesn't mean what he seems to think it means.
