Ohio's Kasich Ties Florida’s Scott as Most Unpopular
May 26, 2011 7:02 a.m.
RALEIGH, N.C. -- Ohio Gov. John Kasich has become more unpopular over the last few months, as the opposition to his limitations on collective bargaining has intensified, finds a new survey by Public Policy Polling.

Kasich, polling in March at 35% approve of his job performance while 54% disapprove, has slipped a bit to 33% to 56%, tying him with Florida's Rick Scott for the most unpopular governor in the country.

Unlike Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Kasich's agenda has not rallied his base. He has plummeted with Republicans, from an already somewhat weak 71% approve, 18% disapprove job performance rating two months ago to "an abysmal 58% - 28% now," the survey finds.

"John Kasich might be Barack Obama's new BFF," said Dean Debnam, president of Public Policy Polling. "Kasich's unpopularity is really hurting the Republican brand in Ohio and may make it easier for Obama to win the state again even if he himself is not all that popular."

I contend this asshole does not care about his polling numbers or ever getting reelected. He is in office to achieve what his corporate masters have tasked him with such as union busting and giving away state assets while killing education.

He will do what the master have requested and leave office very, very rich.

2. as Ohio goes, so goes the nation. The Republicans blundered badly.
they squandered all their mid-term political capital on the wrong issues.

4. there are obviously a few schmucks in Ohio.
Referring specifically to the idiots who voted for him,and now disapprove of his job performance. Well, what did you think he was going to do when he became governor, schmucks?
