Letter to editor on DeMint lack of cooperation

Senator DeMint recently stated, referring to the financial situation of our country, that "We cannot compromise with them (the Democrats).You cannot cooperate with someone who does not have your values, does not have your vision, and does not have your goals."

If I were in a sinking boat, I wouldn't be arguing much about HOW to bail the boat, but the first ballast I'd throw overboard would be the passenger who refused to bail at all.

Senator DeMint, can you swim?
