Whatever happened to this repubican rising star?

He was just breaking into the congressional repubican leadership when he suddenly dropped off the map. I think he's still in Congress. My guess is he's laying low until the current Storm Of Stupid that has engulfed the repubican party has blown over.

He's a mean little fucker, but I also think he's politically savvy and knows when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em.
