<snip from JSOnline article>

With more than 108 years of history, Harley-Davidson Inc. has some unusual stuff in its archives. But few people likely knew the company once made rocket engines used in aerial drones.

Never-before-seen prototypes of motorcycles that were never manufactured are part of it, including a Project Nova bike from the late 1970s that was built in collaboration with German automaker Porsche AG.

In addition to bikes and motors, the exhibit offers glimpses into what it was like to work at the motorcycle factories decades ago.

One item is a small tin pail, like a milk jug, that workers filled with beer on their lunch hour.

<end snip>

The exhibit runs June 11 thru Aug 21 at the Harley Museum in Milwaukee. One more reason Milwaukee is a GREAT city.

1. My husband has a Harley and is a big fan of the bike but they took part of the hidden bailout

money Republicans handed to their buddies, Harley, McDonald's, Verizon and GE (again these people get more taxpayer money they don't deserve), and foreign banks to the tune of 3.3 trillion no one knew about until December 2010.

This money has not been paid back and it represents almost 25% of the national debt.

The people got screwed while Harley got a bailout that they haven't paid back.

SCROO HARLEY DAVIDSON!

3. Yes, Harley extorted money from the City/County under the threat of losing jobs.
And now the Milwaukee Art Museum is coming under fire for running a "China" exhibit. Hard to love anyone unconditionally anymore.

2. I live in Milwaukee and agree that it is, in many ways, a great city.
Haven't been to the Harley museum yet. I don't know if I will. I've been flipped off too many times by Harley riders while riding my Suzuki. You have to have kind of a thick skin to ride a Japanese bike in Milwaukee.
