(not) HAPPENING NOW - Waiting for Palin and her political mystery tour
May 29, 2011, 9:42 am
At Rolling Thunder, Waiting for Palin
WASHINGTON — Thousands of Harley-riding bikers from across the country began assembling in the Pentagon’s North Parking Lot on Sunday morning for the annual Rolling Thunder rally — and the start of Sarah Palin’s “One Nation” bus tour.

Ms. Palin, the former governor of Alaska, had yet to arrive by 9 a.m., and her aides did not offer any details about her participation in the event. Speculation swirled among the riders that she and her husband, Todd, would join the bikers in riding motorcycles across the Memorial Bridge to the National Mall.

A spokeswoman for the Rolling Thunder event said that Ms. Palin was not slated to speak to the crowd during the afternoon program. But an adviser to Ms. Palin would not say whether she would or she would not speak.

Sarah Palin’s political mystery tour

Where would she be stopping? They didn’t know. Palin’s staff wouldn’t even return their calls, leaving them to ask reporters for more answers.

And they’re not alone: With hours to go before Palin’s bus tour is supposed to begin, it’s still unclear what she’ll be doing when she gets to the first stop. It’s even more of a mystery what her second stop will be.

Her fans are feeling the tension... then there's the contingent among us who love a good laugh or love train wrecks...

Palin Roaring Into Town On Rented Bike

Organizers for Rolling Thunder said that Palin is welcome to ride with the group, that spreads awareness of missing servicemen. However, she has not been offered a speaking role at the event.

"We're not endorsing anybody here," Ted Shpak, one of the ride's leaders said, "and she's definitely not speaking on our stage."

8. Rolling Thunder won't let Palin steal their thunder.
And based on past history, if Palin can't speak and co-opt an event, she won't participate in it.

Expect news of engine problems with regard to the Palin motor coach momentarily.

14. She'll blame this all on the "lame stream media" who hate her
And how the people who run Rolling Thunder are all political insiders

Rolling Thunder spokeswoman Nancy Regg said she didn't know how Palin became involved. "I'm not the person that invited her," she told ABC News. "We send letters to people all the time and invite them. We invited her to ride, she has accepted and she and her husband have both agreed to ride for us."

6. This was going to be a big deal for the freepers.
They were pretty worked up about it. I don't think they will handle it well if she's a no-show.

9. How many times has Palin been a no-show now? Any time there's
even a hint that she may not be worshiped as she feels she should be, she bails.

10. Even when she doesn't do anything it's newsworthy now
Edited on Sun May-29-11 09:22 AM by lunatica
The grifter is turning out to be a master manipulating sociopath. Now she's got the media writing about her not doing anything at all.

Obviously there's nothing else to bother writing about. :sarcasm:

13. Sexy Sadie what have you done
You made a fool of everyone
You made a fool of everyone
Sexy Sadie ooh what have you done.

Sexy Sadie you broke the rules
You laid it down for all to see
You laid it down for all to see
Sexy Sadie oooh you broke the rules.

One sunny day the world was waiting for a lover
She came along to turn on everyone
Sexy Sadie the greatest of them all.

Sexy Sadie how did you know
The world was waiting just for you
The world was waiting just for you
Sexy Sadie oooh how did you know.

Sexy Sadie you'll get yours yet
However big you think you are
However big you think you are
Sexy Sadie oooh you'll get yours yet.

We gave her everything we owned just to sit at her table
Just a smile would lighten everything
Sexy Sadie she's the latest and the greatest of them all.

She made a fool of everyone
Sexy Sadie.

However big you think you are
Sexy Sadie.

15. UPDATE - she actually did show up

"I'm very not appreciative of the way she came in here," Ted Shpak, Rolling Thunder's national legislative director, told the Post. "If she wanted to come on the ride, she should have come in the back."

Rolling Thunder rider Mark Posey added, in an interview with the Post, that the event was not the place to launch a presidential campaign: "I think she has no reason to be involved in this," he said of Palin. "If she's launching her campaign to run for president, I don't think this is the place to start."
