Republican cuts’ repercussions

As we look at the super storms going across the country, I hope all loyal Republicans are appreciating the budget decisions made by their chosen federal and state representatives, who have voted for cutbacks to the budget for social services, first responders at FEMA, and local police and fire departments.

I also hope they will note their representatives’ refusal to take preventive measures to reduce global warming while refusing to cut subsidies to big oil. And on the state level, they should pay attention to legislators’ continuing to pour money into corporate welfare schemes, while robbing those first responders of their votes by unneeded voter ID laws and union-busting schemes.
