1. My guess is that she was given a choice to leave or ...
.... face an investigation on how her and TODD'S house got built in Wasilla with out any bills @ the
same time she had a hockey rink built ..... she is a world class grifter, end of story.

2. That was pretty much it
she faced massive lawsuits because of her actions as governor - primarily using state troopers to frame her sisters ex-husband (who is a jerk) in the midst of a custody battle. Also she fired him without cause and spent about 20% of her time on the case.

She was such a horrible governor that she got sued left and right

3. You can't forget the fact that she stated that she hated the job of governor.

4. NO
Alaska has a Dept. of Law that defends, at their expense, lawsuits against the Governor.

When the Legislators found Palin "GUILTY of Abuse of Power" in Troopergate, she filed a lawsuit against HERSELF and brought it to the personnel board (appointed or retained by HER)who declare her "innocent."

THAT lawsuit was NOT paid for by State Government - it was expensive, but she set up a donation site and her cult members paid the bill.
