Tweety says you won't see Pelosi and Hoyer within twenty feet of eachother.
Almost immediately, The camera shows them chatting together.

Mrs Greenspan points that out and tweety ignores her.

This is from msnbc coverage of the House ceremonies.

2. Ha! I missed who Tweety said you wouldn't see within 20 feet of one another, but I DID
see Nancy and Steny in the little group.

He does offer a lot of insight, though, IMO.

10. Disagree -- Matthews has no real affect on America. He's just Matthews doing his
thing, nothing more.

14. Disagree, he is emblematic of big mouth teevee personalities who sharply impact "common wisdom"
His audience is smaller than some, to be sure, but he is very much emblematic of the ilk.

Because of talk radio and shout television, the stupid fucks that shore citizenship with us have come to see opinion as fact.

Imagine, if you can, Walter Conkite ad libbing during live coverage of such an event. There is no way on earth he would have let his ass overload his mouth as Matthews did. Too much ego and self interest and too little concern for the consuming public.

8. He is much more wrapped up in his own cleverness than in any concern
for America. He is worthless to watch, and I usually turn him off immediately.

12. Excellent and perceptive post, old mark.
Matthews is a self-involved commentator, and has no use for the truth unless it feeds his ego.

13. After a very short time, he becomes uninteresting. I don't understand why
so many watch his programs.
