Obama, Ryan clash in White House meeting on debt
http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-white-house-gop-meeting-20110601,0,167966.story

Reporting from Washington —

Republican Rep. Paul Ryan and President Obama got into a pointed exchange over GOP plans to overhaul the Medicare system, with Ryan suggesting at a private meeting at the White House that the president had engaged in "demagoguery."

Obama met with members of the House Republican caucus in the East Room on Wednesday in an attempt to bridge differences over spending and the debt limit.

Democrats have gained traction in the debate with Republicans by painting Ryan's Medicare proposal as a "voucher" program that would harm senior citizens. An iconic TV ad put out by a liberal group depicts a man pushing an elderly wheelchair-bound woman off a cliff. The message is that Republicans wish to privatize Medicare.

Ryan, the House Budget Committee chairman, got a standing ovation from his colleagues during the meeting.

2. GOOD GRIEF -
I doubt Ryan even knows what it means. Someone wrote it on a 3 x 5 card for him. He just reads from the card. What an ASS.

Ryan = Demagoger in Chief.

What an ASS.

8. Can you image how the press would have reacted if a House Dem. had confronted GWB? What with 2 wars
going on, the RW would have had a cow about the disrespect of the CIC.

9. The pukes have put themselves in an interesting position
with the Ryan Catfood Budget. They are now holding a gun to the heads of their own and saying to the Dems "stop or I'll shoot." I say we let them shoot and in doing so double down on their biggest blunder in 15 years.

10. Another false equivalency...
The Times headline implies that President Obama and Reprehensible Ryan are somehow presenting equivalent but differing viewpoints. Typical of the MSM, no investigative reporting, no recognition of one of the elephants in the room - that these two people represent ethically opposing world views, and those views are NOT equivalent.
