Labour loses lead over Conservatives - poll

(Reuters) - The Labour Party has lost its lead over the Conservatives for the first time in seven months, while support for the Liberal Democrats edged up, a poll showed on Tuesday.

The latest ComRes poll for The Independent newspaper puts backing for Labour at 37 percent, down two percentage points since the previous ComRes survey for The Independent on Sunday two weeks ago.

That places them level with the Conservatives, who lost one percentage point.
