WI GOP Senator facing recall hopes that government workers 'are sleeping' on election day
Edited on Wed Jun-01-11 04:07 PM by WI_DEM
(Not a chance, Kapanke!)

Wisconsin state Sen. Dan Kapanke (R), facing a possible recall election, is worried about all the government workers in his district, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

In a secretly recorded talk to local Republicans last week, Kapanke said he is hoping that all the public employees in his district "are sleeping" on election day.

Said Kapanke: "We've got tons of government workers in my district -- tons. From La Crosse to Prairie du Chien and to Viroqua and to Ontario and to Hillsboro, you can go on and on and on. We have to overcome that. We gotta hope that they, kind of, are sleeping on July 12th -- or whenever the (election) date is."

2. The response should be
"We're gonna stay up all night just to be first in line at the precinct"

4. Nice try, Fucko
If I lived in his district I would be camping outside the polling place door the night before just to be the first in line to recall his sorry ass.

9. that's my point...lol....the media allows them to portray themselves as if they're outside govt
and do not use govt money. Been going on for decades. I swear, many of their constituents would be surprised at the healthcare and retirement packages many of these 'anti-government' Republicans and their staffs receive.
