I cannot believe that Sarah Palin woman....I just saw on ET or some
such show, and she was trying to make her daughter publicly apologize and give flowers to the reporter that she "shoved". This woman, on top of being an idiot, is a horrible, horrible mother.

First, to even put her daughter in that position was just wrong. It looked to me like she was trying to protect her mom from the "meanies", or maybe it's just a cry for mommys attention. Either way, I think this is something that should have been handled privately, not played out on national TV. If there was any doubt that she uses her children as props, this should settle it. BTW, where is her youngest child??? Where are all the other children on this "family vacation"?

She didn't apologize or give the flowers to the reporter, by the way (giving Sarah the proverbial finger on national TV...:) )

1. My Dad Would Have Paddled My Britches in Public...

...If I even thought of acting 1/4 as nasty as the Palin kids get away with....

2. I don't want to pick at her kids..
but all three girls seem very nasty. And Piper's too young to have as much attitude as she has.

Like you my mom or dad would have given me a smack on the backside if I acted like that in public. Who know what the kid thinks with a mother like that. EEEWWW...

9. Well look at Bristol, who grew up before the $$$ rolled in. Imagine a Palin growing up with money.
That's not gonna be pretty.

6. Whipping children in public is generally frowned upon nowadays. Not to mention that if Sarah
Palin had paddled her child in public, this place might just literally explode in outrage. lol By the way, I think Piper is cute as can be. She doesn't act nasty.

7. Except for that whole body checking the reporter thing.
You may not see it, but she's a petulant, little brat. I'd need to think long and hard to come up with kids I've seen who misbehave worse than them.

10. She seems like a cute kid to me. I don't think she's a brat. That's just a judgment
you've made on a child you don't even know. It looked to me like she was trying to protect her mom. I was very protected of my mom at that age too. She seems like a brave little girl. I think name-calling is always inappropriate as far as kids go anyway. JMO

12. Sure, just like she was protecting her sister by calling her Facebook friends "faggots"
That was very brave of her as well. Listen, kids can be bad people too. Especially if their parents are worthless wastes of air. Once again, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The kid may have been doomed from the start having the mom that she has, but it doesn't change what she is.

16. Nah, she's just a cute kid . And as someone already mentioned, that wasn't even Piper.
When adults start picking on children and calling them names and saying they may be doomed from the start, I'm most certainly going to speak up because that just isn't right. Piper is a cute kid with as much potential as any child. She has her whole life ahead of her, and I hope she will go far and be a big success.

3. my parents would never have put me in the position of doing something
Edited on Wed Jun-01-11 11:30 PM by Saphire
wrong in front of the nation, therefore, I would never have had to apologize.

It really pisses me off that she would use Piper like that to get a few more minutes air time.

And I'm sorry, but I can't help but think of Joan Crawford and her coat hangers.

4. after I watched the video but before I saw your post I had the same thought
She looked like an automaton when she got between the reporter and her mother, like she'd been told to keep anybody asking unvetted questions away. Sarah's handlers know a reporter wouldn't ever push a child in order to get closer to her. Pretty smart tactic really.

8. Trig has been conspicuously absent for some time.
According to stories circulating around here, Willow has been suspended from Colony High School and has gone through four home school teachers since then. Bristol, of course, is off doing reality shows and getting plastic surgery. Track just got married to his long-time girlfriend and, sensibly, has been keeping a low profile.

Here's the gossip from The Immoral Minority http://theimmoralminority.blogspot.com/2011/05/palin-straps-on-her-s-gear-and.html

Oh by the way for those people who have been asking me where Willow has been all of this time, and WHY she is not accompanying Palin on these publicity jaunts, I have some new information for you.

I had a long conversation with a good friend in Wasilla, who informed me that Willow was essentially kicked out of Palmer's Colony High for disciplinary reasons. My friend said that the Colony High principle is a dyed in the wool Palin-bot but that he simply could not keep her enrolled because she flatly refused to follow the disciplinary procedures required to be reinstated back into the school after she was suspended. (Sorry I don't know what the initial reason was for the suspension.)

However the drama does not end there, as the decision was then made to home school Willow. Sally Heath was recruited to find retired teachers among her friends, willing to help Willow complete her assignments.

Apparently Willow has developed quite the attitude, and the potty mouth to go long with it, and has, as of this posting, gone through FOUR of Sally's friends and acquaintances. My understanding is that Willow is so COMPLETELY disrespectful that these veteran teachers simply refuse to put up with her, regardless of the compensation provided.

I have also heard that Sarah is virtually NEVER in Wasilla, and Todd is only there sporadically, so there is really no structure provided and Willow has suffered, probably more than any of the others, from the neglect.

As for Piper she was attending Cottonwood Elementary where some had referred to (her) as a "diva," and where she apparently missed almost as many classes as she was present for. I have no idea how much longer they will be able to keep her enrolled as I do believe there is minimal attendance requirement.

Concerning Trig I have heard nary a peep recently. The last thing I heard of any interest was that he was turning into quite a handful and that Sarah had a family helping with his care when she was unable to be home. Which lately has been almost constant.

And of course we all know what's up with Bristol.

13. I really feel sorry for those kids.
They don't stand a chance with a mother like that. Poor little Trig -- I hope he's gone back to wherever he came from or to someone who will care for him as he deserves. I'm still on the fence as regards his birth, but it does seem odd that he was used as a prop when he was little, but now hasn't been seen for months.

The only wise one of the bunch, I believe, is Track, who has studiously avoided the limelight.

It does seem to confirm the reports that Gryphen is hearing.

Willow is a rebel, more than Bristol, and she could cause Sarah even more headaches down the road. It would serve Sarah right for being such a neglectful mother. How many other political women use their kids in this way?

I've always felt kind of sorry for Bristol. Can you imagine being pregnant and unwed at 16 or whatever she was and having your mother announce it to the whole world? It must have been horribly embarrassing for her. I wonder how Sarah justified that to her. I've got three daughters -- I could NEVER disrespect their privacy like this.

Sarah Palin's ambitions are all-consuming. The sad part is the mainstream media are feeding her addiction. They're playing right into her game.

20. This from the article amused me:
On Wednesday, it was claimed that the 47-year-old politician will home school her 16-year-old daughter in a bid to keep her out of the spotlight."
Can you just see Sarah Palin homeschooling anybody?

15. Thanks Blue for the info....
Seems that whole family has "issues".
Doubt we'll see much of Tri-G anymore....I think his usefulness as a prop is over.
Heard he is un-manageable and doesn't like Sarah too much. (can't blame him there)
Poor little guy.

24. A ten year old child should not have been deliberately placed in that position.
I am not at all surprised that she reacted the way she did, considering how she has been thrust into the national spotlight in the last few years. Sarah wears her children like most women wear accessories to their clothing.
