So Successful, a New Ice Cream Shop Closes After 4 Days
If you thought the last thing brownstone Brooklyn needed was another purveyor of artisanal foods, you are officially wrong.

Ample Hills Creamery, a new ice cream shop in Prospect Heights, closed four days after opening, but only because the demand was so great: customers bought out all 130 gallons of homemade ice cream by last Saturday night.

“It was crazy,” said Brian Smith, 41, who was stunned by his own success and is now scrambling to hire more people and replenish the stock with hopes of a grand reopening on Monday or Tuesday. “I want to get it right this time.”

Maybe it was the heat. After a long winter and many rainy days, temperatures stretched into the high 70s and low 80s: ideal ice cream weather.

In any case, after the shop opened last Wednesday, “we were overrun,” Mr. Smith said. “We had lines back to the bathroom, 20 people deep for six to seven hours straight, each of the four days we were open.”

5. An otc product called Digestive Advantage
has changed my life with respect to dairy foods.

You only have to take it once a day and it works all day.

They have several formulas, but the one designated for lactose intolerance is the one that has worked so well for me.

But I can only have a tiny bit. I buy those small cups of ice creams which last a week in my freezer, and then I make a float..more then a few spoonfuls, then I am in major trouble!

Their Pumpkin and also their Chocolate Peanut Butter come highly recommended.

8. That is great news. A new local business. Yah....
This is, hands down, my favorite ice cream shop. I used to live not far from it. The chocolate, made for the world famous venezuelan chocolate, is to die for.
