Feingold to decide by labor day if he'll run for the Senate
Democrat Russ Feingold says he'll decide by Labor Day whether to make a political comeback and run for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by his longtime colleague, Herb Kohl.

Feingold, who lost his re-election bid for Wisconsin's other Senate seat in November, told The Journal-Sentinel in Milwaukee that his short break from politics has been good for him.

"I feel I should take some time to think this through," Feingold told the newspaper. "For me the question right now is whether it's a good idea for me to go back into this sort of life."

4. No, because he would lose and he understood this in 2008.
The point of having a Democratic nominee for president is for them to have an actual chance to win rather than be a sacrificial lamb to the wet dreams of the left of the Party. As much as we like Feingold, he would lose in a presidential election.

We need good people to serve at all levels of government and not wish that each particularly admired one run for president. I would much rather see Feingold run for the Senate or the governorship here in Wisconsin because he has a real chance to win those elections.

2. Wish he'd run for governor in the recall election, and really make some change.
