It's a non-story
And IIRC, WHY didn't the msm make the same shitstorm over the fact that Rick Santorum brought a dead fetus home so his kids could see it?

THAT was disgusting and strange.

A photo of someone's drawers? Nope.

5. Just that a congressman's accounts were hacked and
apparently nothing is being done about it. Sarah dear had hers hacked and someone went to jail over it.
I thought it is a crime to hack any congressman's account.

7. I loathe Breitbart with a white hot intensity...
thus, anything that involves him makes me want to turn away. I just wish the hell that Weiner would get a handle on this whole stupid debacle.

10. Anthony Weiner likes the sexy time...I get it. Unless Breitbart has pix of him
boffing a disemboweled goat, or texts that indicate he likes to fap to pictures featured in medical journals, who cares?
What *truly* matters; what *truly* affects us all is that Clarence Thomas... a lying, corrupt, incompetent Supreme Court Justice, still serves.

11. I couldn't either -- until today -- then
http://www.americablog.com/2011/06/what-was-rep-weiner-working-on-before.html

There is a trail leading back to Clarence Thomas -- or his operatives -- being behind the Weiner hack, because Weiner was forcing Thomas to reveal income that constituted conflict of interests.

■ In February, Anthony Weiner gets 74 congresspeople to send a letter to Clarence Thomas asking him to explain himself, then launches a Conflicted Clarence Thomas campaign, attempting to shame him into a recusal on any health care case.

■ Liberty Central is forced, presumably by Weiner's constant tweaking, to release its own IRS forms showing $150,000 in payments to Ginni Thomas, President and CEO, in 2010 (jump to page 12 using the pop-up toolbar at the bottom).

Liberty Central is on record as opposing Obama's Affordable Care Act, perhaps the reason this income didn't make it to Clarence Thomas's first round of income-correction. The ACA may well come before the Court on which Thomas sits.

■ On May 27 (a Friday), Thomas announces he will release his amended disclosures later that day, and starting at 9:14 am there's a lot of Twitter traffic from @RepWeiner about it, eleven straight tweets at one point, including this one.

Note that the "nearly $700,000" number is now $800,000 (that we know about).

■ Later that evening, Weiner tweets that his Facebook account has been hacked and the chicken-in-the-pants pic goes out (no link; this is why god made google, folks).

12. No; I'd fairly much ignored it (apart from the chance to mention Breitbart's syphilis)
and then I found out, today, the 'girl' who was supposedly sent the picture is, in fact, a 21 year old woman! So that makes this, at worst, a question of a bit of flirting with someone he's not married to. And it seems almost certain he didn't send the picture anyway.

13. WillPitt, I am concerned because far right freaks are harassing Democratic citizens via Twitter.
Edited on Mon Jun-06-11 09:36 AM by KittyWampus
specifically women who follow liberal Democrats.

There is an organization of far right losers who gang up on young women who follow Democrats on twitter. It got so bad for some young women, their parents had to disable their daughters' twitter accounts. All because they took an interest in politics and followed Weiner.

If a gang of far right freaks ganged up on your beloved for following the musings of her favorite Dem representative via Twitter, you'd care.

It also matters because Breitbart and his flying monkeys have damaged other left wing organizations and individuals.

The Media just takes his sensational lies with no investigation into the authenticity.

15. Oh, I think it's hilarious
that they had to do a crotch shot and send it out on a spoofed account to manufacture a scandal about him because going over his life with a microscope had produced absolutely nothing.

Most people have the good sense to realize this one is beyond dumb.

However, if it manages to take Breitbart and his little elves in Oklahoma down and put them in jail to cool off for a while, it's all good.

16. It is so far-fetched that it makes
Breitbart look like an idiot. The only reason a grown man would send a photo like that was to play a joke on another man.

It's just juvenile.

The picture of a different congressman topless and flexing muscles was more believably sent by the man. A man might think he looked really attractive in the picture.

But the picture that Breitbart claimed was sent. No way. No man is stupid enough to think it was anything but either insulting or a joke. No man other than someone like Breitbart.

22. I'm not happy that Weiner tweeted the pics, but that's his own
business as far as I'm concerned.

I am upset that the "cable news reporters" and pundits are falling all over themselves like fools about this (and have been for over a week).

Every minute they devote to this Weiner story is a minute they are NOT devoting to the real problems we have today!

I turned the TV off yesterday, and I probably won't turn it on today.

At least I can refuse to participate in this ridiculous circus.

Consenting adults do silly things. No one is hurt, no marriage vows are trashed, no brutal hypocrisy is exposed, no harm, no foul.

Marlene Dietrich put it best: In America sex is an obsession; in the rest of the world it is a fact.
