But for some reason, the highly paid folks who put out the network and cable news programs can't quite suss out what she meant when she said that for the duration of the vice presidential debate, she was going to just say whatever she wanted to say. The questions were irrelevant, any points that Biden made were irrelevant. All that mattered was that there was a camera in front of Sarah Palin, and whatever she did was going to go spilling out into people's homes all over the country. It didn't matter to her that she wasn't participating in the debate, and certainly nobody else involved saw fit to try to bring her back out of her version of reality.
As I say, for some reason, that didn't tell the multi-millionaires on the air at the networks or the cable shows all they needed to know about Mrs. Palin.
That being said, my understanding is that Mrs. Palin's soliloquy on Paul Revere wasn't even in answer to a question. She volunteered for the adoring crowd her version of the ride of Paul Revere, unprompted by anyone. Unfortunately for Mrs. Palin, her impromptu history lesson was recorded and released to the general public to hear and digest for themselves. She has been quite busy these last few days futilely trying to explain away her idiotic comments, and it's quite strange to me to hear the media coverage. Perhaps they're happy that at last Sarah Palin is engaging in a debate, even if it's just with herself.
