Bahrain doctors, nurses charged for treating protesters

Twenty-three doctors and 24 nurses in Bahrain were charged Monday with trying to topple the country�s monarchy, simply by treating wounded protesters, Al Jazeera English reported. The doctors and nurses have been imprisoned for their so-called crimes since March.

Though the state of emergency was lifted June 1, protests still rage on. Officials have warned that there will be �consequences� for anyone who continues to demonstrate.
