Yup, he's a liar. That's not a reason to abandon him.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone, said a wise person, long ago. I'm sure there are other old sayings that apply. He fucked up. That's not a reason for me to abandon him. I have fucked up in far more significant ways than this.

Edit: I called him a liar. I will leave that language in, so youcan see what I said.

But on second thought, did he, in fact, lie? Or did he equivocate? I recall laughing, thinking it was stupid, for him to say he didn't know if the weiner was his. But I don't recall an actual lie.

Aaaaand edit again.

He lied. No he didn't. Yes he did. No. Yes. No. Yes.

ALRIGHT ALREADY. Anthony. Anthony. What're we gunna do with you, you knucklehead?

Sheesh

7. I have an issue with both
Why do liberal Dems do stupid shit like this, knowing that the Repukes are just waiting for some reason to take them down? Between the Republicans and the Blue Dogs, we're not exactly overrun with liberals in Congress. Weiner should have known better--if not because of his wife, because neo-cons are just DYING to dig up such dirt.

13. As long as he continues to tell the truth in his capacity as a Congressman
it's not an issue for me. I have HUGE issues with being lied to about the reasons for wars, the need to cut social programs, how tax cuts create revenue and jobs, how a Supreme Court justice can lie about his spouse's income and will be impartial in ruling on health care when he contributed money against it, that Planned Parenthood traffics children, that Obama wants to destroy America, that the Ryan plan is not a voucher program,...the list is too long to write. This man has done enormous good for the people of this country and has fought harder than most Democrats against the lies of the right and the harm they wish to do. Perhaps the confidence and arrogance that served him well in taking on that fight led to this mistake in his personal life. If a Senator who set up meetings with prostitutes during roll call votes and was a client of prostitutes can continue to serve, Congressman Weiner should continue to serve. If a Speaker of the House who committed adultery multiple times could continue to serve and now run for President, Mr. Weiner should continue to serve. Let's see if the right wing practices the gospel they preach or just throw stones.

2. Did he even lie?
Does he admit he sent the pic to the women in question?

I don't know if he's ever denied sexting other people...

and Rep. Weiner. He f***ed up big time but hell, I am far from a perfect human being too. He is, however, a great congressman and they are very few and far between.

11. Lying seems to go with politicians especially when it's
about their personal lives. What I hate is when they lie about things involving their oath of office.

12. Yes he lied.
In the interview with Blitzer he said directly "I did not send that picture"

He just admitted he did send it. That makes him a liar.
