Lying to our faces for 10 days is why this is a story.

As usual, another politician failed to learn the lesson of being up-front and truthful from day one.

Staring at the camera and lying to our faces for 10 days is the outrage....

... not sending pics of his junk to some college girl. That's was no big deal.

2. It may be a big deal to his wife
and to many of his female voters. He had been leading a secret life.
When you are leading a secret life and are discovered the shame and fear
can be overwhelming. Your response may be irrational.

6. I was actually quite moved by his press conference.
It was very difficult for him at first, and he seemed like he was about to cry, but when he told the truth and admitted responsibility he seemed to relax, as the huge burden had been lifted from his shoulders. If he had only done this on day 1, it would have been so much better for him. Oh what a tangled web etc........

24. I was moved too, I think he was genuinely sorry.
But considering all the damage he has done to his family, his constituents, and to all of us who are his supporters it's a terrible tragedy. We've had our hero literally snatched away from us. We're facing real humiliation with Breitbart, who can now claim another "victory." We have a weakened voice in the House of Representatives where we need it the most.

What other catastrophe with him can we look forward to?

The fact he even sent the pics shows he's not that smart.
So, I guess we can't expect him to be smart enough to come clean right away. He's an idiot.

11. a 46 yr old man sending such a photo to a 22 yr old is indeed a big deal.
Weiner could have had a daughter that age. It offends me. It's a big deal either way.

15. And in the press conference he couldn't say that he knew the women
were adults at all. So they could have been kids for all he knew. That adds a whole nother level of ick and irresponsibility to the mix.

13. He had to know this was going to blow up.
Where theres one pic, theres a dozen more swarming like ants just waiting for someone to kick the anthill.

The girl ABC interviewed is a single parent, in nursing school - and they paid her for her proof. She wasn't even the one he tweeted his junk to.

He had to have known this was coming.

This is a progressive politician. And his mistake involved sex. Well, not exactly sex, but that won't matter to the talking heads in the media. Those tools would have milked this no matter what.

18. sort of
in politics it's generally agree you should lie first about these things, see if they blow over, then apologize fast if they don't. Clearly he would have been smarter to apologize on Friday news dump than Monday news start up. I'm not sure the general MO of politics wasn't followed.

22. HIstory should politicians that telling the truth is the best tactic ...
Americans will forgive indiscretions but have a harder time forgiving lying. You can get a thousand brownie points for doing the right thing and one lie can cancel them all out.

Still now that he has told the truth, it might be best to just move on. The voters he represents will decide the next time he is up for election if they still want him to reelect him.

That is a joke, the intent is to maintain news cycles on that story.

They would go after him till he resigns, then try and go after the next person that stands up for ideas of better society.

The story goes on as long as those that own the media you see on TV want it to go on.

It does not matter what he says, or what Breitbart says, it is only the choice of a few companies that run all the media on TV.

It is more distraction.

And I am due beer and travel money, and that will be sent.

Here is the real story.

News media obsesses over a picture of a dick. News media obsessed with getting rid of people not 'in the group' by smear. People used to create smears, people that sold out pushing smears.

And a few people trying to do the right thing getting swift boated, Rev Wrighted, and smeared, by those that don't want you to hear what is going on.

You don't get it. They are doing what they say it is bad for Wiener to do

They are obsessing over nasty pictures online. They are the same as him.

Don't you see the irony, evey time they insult him they insult themselves, and lose more support by there hypocrisy.

It is beautiful, their kegs are free flowing from them at an incredible rate.
