I've never thought I had the right to know the truth about someone's sex life
As long as it's legal and such, I just don't get why someone has to be prostrate before us all, telling us all the details...

That doing so makes the world a little better, fairer, etc.

I realize it's news and to those involved, I understand they have an opinion on the matter.

I just don't. Lots of people care, either because it was stupid, gross, tacky, a form of cheating, offensive, etc.

And lots of people care that he lied about it afterwards. He did what lots of people do (but shouldn't). Do I get upset about them?

Not really. Why him? And why, oh why, must I know every detail of this? Why do I have to avoid the news to keep this stuff out of my head.

This is like the theater of the absurd to me.

I have forever been amazed by the need to know another's sexual habits. bout as interesting to me as their bowel movement frequency.

3. Technically, he didn't have to lie. He could have said: I'm not going to address
any of this. I did nothing illegal. Take it or leave it, that's my only statement on this matter.

But politically, the best thing would be if he had simply thrown himself on the mercy of his district immediately.

4. This wasn't really his "sex life" it was his sex drive helping him doing really stupid shit.
This wasn't a relationship that was rooted in love. It wasn't even a private lustful affair between two people. He was trolling the internet for cybersex.

He sent pictures and communicated with not one, not two, not three, but SIX random women he didn't know at ALL on the internet. He might not have fucked them but he fucked those of us who supported him pretty good. Now it's an issue and it's the ONLY thing we're talking about. And we wouldn't be if he hadn't been such a fucking fool. His credibility is shot. He clearly has ZERO sense of judgement if he thought his actions would not get out.

Fucking idiot.

6. Louis B. Mayer, Jack L. Warner and Darryl F. Zanuck did.
I think as highly of our stars as they did of theirs, and am as protective of mine as they were of theirs.

Weiner chose to make his trolling public, by sending inappropriate correspondence to anonymous women; he made all the details public. Then, he lied about it. His lack of judgement and inability to understand the consequences of his actions makes me NOT like him anymore. This is just another example of a man drunk with power, thinking he's untouchable, or maybe, not even caring.
